Lisieux

St. Therese, the Little Flower, was canonised in 1925.  Shortly thereafter, a Basilica was built in her honour atop the hill overlooking the monastery where she lived and died in the odour of sanctity.

Mont Saint Michel

As a teenager, I have always dreamt of one day visiting this abbey.  It conjured in my young imagination then, a place of mystery.  The opportunity came six years ago on a pilgrimage/tour of France and what a marvellous place it was!  A place I would love to visit again one day.

Salvador de Bahia

Salvador de Bahia is one of the oldest colonial cities in South America founded by the Portuguese in 1549.  In all my travels to Latin America: Salvador, Quito, and Cartagena are the most beautiful colonial cities I have seen so far.

Just a bit

As I stood on the seashore one afternoon to do long exposure photography, I was faced with a choice: to make the water very smooth (ethereal) or capture the waves as they break through the rocks and recede.  I chose the latter and I think I succeeded.  What do you think?
